Job description
For our Vehicle Development (VD) division we are looking for a Manager Quality & Reliability. In this position you are responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management systems within VD. Also you will maintain alignment of the Quality Management System with the DAF Quality Management system, Product Creation Process (PCP) and Corporate Standards.
Your tasks:
- Manage, coach and inspire a team of quality professionals and black belts
- Secure alignment and compliance of the VD processes to the ISO9001, IATF16949 and ISO26262 standards; evaluate and discuss with other Quality Managers and report in the DAF Quality Managers Meeting;
- Evaluate new VD processes and DAF Business Processes impacting VD; assist in implementing new processes, required changes and train all relevant personnel on Quality & Safety Standards and procedures;
- Organize and prepare the Quality Management Review and the internal and external audits for Management Team VD;
- Keep up to date with new and changing quality standards that affect VD (ea. DFSS, SPICE).
As Manager Quality & Reliability you will report to the Director Vehicle Development.
Your profile
- Master’s degree in Automotive, Mechanical Engineering or similar;
- At least 10 years of experience, preferably within Product Development;
- Knowledge of SPICE related standards (ISO15504 & ASPICE PAM 3.1);
- Design For Six Sigma belt; Black Belt;
- Preferably you are certified as a Lead Auditor;
- Understanding of VD practices and day-to-day processes;
- Thorough understanding of ISO standards, setting up procedures and guidelines;
- Excellent English communication skills, both written & oral;
- Process thinker with attention to details;
- Good communicator & relationship builder both internally & externally.

The department Quality & Reliability is responsible for the development processes to achieve and maintain Quality, Reliability, Safety and comply with ISO TS16949. Further we set our goal for achieving ISO 26262 and SPICE Level 2. The department is split in 3 groups; Quality Management Systems, Six Sigma Support & Reliability Engineering.
