Bachelor/Master Internship: Support assurance readiness Sustainability Reporting
Implement and validate Environmental, Social and Governance reporting within DAF
Job description
DAF and PACCAR are working on their Sustainability strategy and reporting framework.
Sustainability is defined in our DAF values as:

- Get a better understanding of required datapoints and their availability in current systems.
- Set up a robust data collection system, including a status dashboard
- Verify and improve internal control framework for Sustainability data (Environment, Social and Governance)
- Support the DAF Sustainability manager in improving data reliability in line with limited assurance criteria
You are available from September 2025 until January 2026.
Your profile
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Sustainability, Finance, Legal, or similar
- Knowledge of ESG and CSRD legislation
- Since this is a project where we are looking for practical results, graduation theses might not fit.
- Good communication skills (writing and speaking) in English and Dutch are required
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Workiva W-desk, PowerBI (or other reporting tools)
Department
The sustainability manager at DAF is responsible for improving sustainability within DAF and its value chain, making this measurable and reportable. In our opinion, this can only be done by integrating sustainability in all business processes and create sustainability goals for every department.
Sustainability reports into the Finance and Control organization of DAF Trucks and is based in Eindhoven.
The role of the finance and control organization is to provide meaningful business information and maintain strong business controls to make sure we comply to all legal requirements and provide accurate information to our stakeholders.
In 2026 DAF will disclose significantly more non-financial information in its annual report than it has ever done before, and this information has to be assured (limited assurance by an external accountant. Therefor we have to make sure data is reliable, complete and accurate and controls are in place.
