The Director Asset Management position is based in Eindhoven with 3 direct reports in Eindhoven and a total team of 30+ staff direct reports in various PFE subsidiaries. You:
- Set Residual Values for the whole DAF Trucks range. Provide advice to the Residual Value Committee on Residual Value strategy. Manage the Residual Value risk for the company by making adjustments to normal Residual Values on large fleet deals.
- Manage the risk / exposure in PFE/DAF’s residual value portfolios.
- Manage the return process at the end of all lease / buy back contracts, potential contract renewals, extensions and short term rentals.
- Ensure that all relative return condition issues are settled in a timely, appropriate and professional manner to ensure customer relationships are maintained, whilst maximizing PACCAR revenues.
- Management of the relationships with local 3rd party inspection companies to ensure inspections are performed timely and of good quality and inspection reports are complete and made available timely.
- Provide accurate and timely price setting for all Used Trucks available for sale.
- Present UT-updates, -statistics and -developments to different steering committees and DAF, PACCAR Financial and PACCAR Senior Management.
Jouw profiel
As the Director Asset Management you have a profound (technical) knowledge of our product range, our pricing strategy, the Used Truck market and the sales processes in the DAF/PACCAR organization.
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of (international) managerial experience preferably in a sales-oriented environment
- Relevant experience in managing dealer & customer relationships
- Awareness of commercial risks associated with Used Trucks Portfolio
- Persuasive by nature and able to communicate clearly and transparent to all levels within our organization.
- Accurate, analytically & procedurally strong and process orientated
- Organizationally sensitive with a keen eye for internal politics and understanding of different perspectives.
Afdeling
PACCAR Financial Europe (PFE) provides financial services for DAF dealers and end customers to support the sales of DAF trucks. PFE is part of the worldwide PACCAR Financial organization, has its headquarters in Eindhoven and is active in a large number of European countries with their own sales offices. Within PFE, DAF Used Trucks is responsible for all activities related to Used Trucks from Residual Value setting up to the return and remarketing of Used Trucks.
Department
The Asset Management Department reports through the DAF Used Trucks (UT) department within PFE. The Used Truck Market is a volatile market where the actual values of used trucks depend on economic / geo-political developments as well as demand & supply. Annually, DAF Used Trucks sells around 12,000 trucks throughout Europe and other International markets. The Asset Management Department’s main responsibilities are:
- Residual Value determination and Portfolio Management.
- Managing the complete vehicle intake process and associated financial settlements.
- Pricing of DAF’s Used Trucks.
