As Manager Diagnostics you are responsible for the Software Integration House “Diagnostic Systems”. You will be leading this dynamic continuous improvement agile team of appr. 14 people of domain/software architects, software (requirement) engineers, technical project leaders, software testers, system integrators and 1st tier suppliers for both software and hardware development.
- You are planning the main task of the team and ensure that the teams delivers quality solution in a efficiently and timely way.
- You build bridges and ensure good collaboration with all involved departments (GCS, IT, Product Development, Paccar Electronics, Parts & Purchasing) and suppliers.
- You can operate both on strategic as tactical level, controlling the DAVIE platform roadmap feeding overall Paccar Diagnostic strategy, guiding and participating supplier negotiations and initiating and managing successful execution next diagnostic investment projects of the global Roadmap.
Jouw profiel
For this challenging function we are looking for candidates with:
- A master degree in Automotive or Information Technology
- At least 5 years of management experience and 5 years of software development, diagnostic methods & Project Management experience.
- Affinity with leadership of a software/IT integration/development team.
- High analytical skills, able to come up with alternative technical and organization solutions to achieve objectives.
- Strong communication and social skills in an international setting and able to interact with a broad range of stakeholders including senior management.
- Enthusiastic, proactive and persevere attitude.
- Fluent in English, Dutch language preferred.
Afdeling
The Diagnostics Systems department is part of the After Sales “Systems & Innovation” (S&I) department. The S&I priority is to support the entire After Sales process at Customers, Dealers and DAF to maximize vehicle uptime, minimize vehicle down time at optimized cost. By means of optimized (online) diagnostics, servicing information, service contracts and support processes, systems, other tools and knowledge.
The Diagnostic Systems team is responsible for the high quality global DAVIE Diagnostic tool platform. The DAVIE-Tool is a vehicle diagnostics & programming tool for all PACCAR dealer workshops and vehicle Manufacturing Plants, that integrates with other After Sales applications to support the end to end After Sales Process. The team closely works together with the DAVIE Diagnostic Content department and is the global knowledge center. The two departments consist out ~85 people and are jointly responsible for the continuous DAVIE Hard & Software developments for existing and new vehicles, including Over-The-Air update components and failure Code Information application. This to ensure optimal support to manufacturing plants and dealer workshops in the diagnostics, maintenance and repair process.
The team operates in an agile way and is responsible to translate the customer and business requirements into a technical feasible architecture and to define systems requirements of the individual components. Second step is to design & develop the system components with partners, integrate the components, (automated) test the updated DAVIE Diagnostic Platform and provide implementation and ongoing support.
