As Supervisor Technical Analysis, you will lead a team of specialists responsible for verifying and validating vehicle concepts based on various vehicle properties through advanced simulations and big data analyses.
You are responsible for ensuring that the team delivers its simulation and analysis results with high reliability to support important design decisions in a timely manner. You are responsible for developing the competencies of the team and maintaining state of the art CAE capabilities. Furthermore, you coordinate the verification and analysis activities in close collaboration with Vehicle Definition, Testing and Vehicle Engineering departments, as well as in alignment with the Global Development teams for the worldwide application of our products.
The Supervisor Technical Analysis reports to the Engineering Manager of Vehicle Support within the Vehicle Integration & Advanced Technology department.
You are responsible for ensuring that the team delivers its simulation and analysis results with high reliability to support important design decisions in a timely manner. Jouw profiel
To successfully fulfill this role, you should possess:
- A completed university degree (Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, or similar);
- Affinity and experience with verification and validation processes;
- Insight into the limitations and possibilities of simulation methods;
- Knowledge of product creation and vehicle design processes;
- Broad vehicle knowledge;
- Proficiency in both English and Dutch;
- Proven leadership capabilities.
You are proactive, driven, analytical, communicative, entrepreneurial, and have good social and communication skills at both management and operational levels.
Afdeling
Within Product Development, the Technical Analysis group is responsible for verifying and validating concepts and designs for new trucks through advanced simulations and big data analyses. Concept verification and analysis provide essential input for the design and validation processes from the very first concept idea to fully developed truck design. The main simulation domains include energy management , fuel consumption, CO2 emissions, CO2 fleet performance, driveability, noise, vibrations, vehicle dynamics, thermodynamics, aerodynamics, durability, and crash safety.
The team is also responsible for implementing new analysis and simulation methods and tools. The simulations and analyses are largely performed by the group members themselves, but some simulations are outsourced to specialized institutes or engineering partners. Technical Analysis consists of approximately 13 highly educated specialists (MSc/PhD).
