Environmental
Management System and certification
The environmental management system of DAF Trucks NV is based on the standard ISO 14001 and includes all processes, services and products of the company.
The environmental management system covers all locations of the company:
- The production locations in the Netherlands (Eindhoven, including St. Oedenrode) and Belgium (Westerlo)
- The own dealerships with a service workshop in Czech Republic (Prague), Hungary (Budapest), France (Paris) and Germany (Frankfurt)
- The Parts Distribution Centers in the Netherlands (Eindhoven and Geldrop), Hungary (Budapest) and Spain (Madrid)
- The subsidiaries for sales in various European countries.
The production locations, dealerships and stores have an ISO 14001 certificate. The production locations and the dealers in Budapest and Prague are certified since 1998. The subsidiaries have an environmental management system based on ISO 14001, but without obligation for certification.
Moreover, ISO 14001 is a mandatory standard for independent DAF Sales & Service dealers, and for suppliers of services with environmentally significant activities on DAF premises.
In the environmental management system, environmental requirements and wishes of stakeholders as authorities, mother company PACCAR, dealers, suppliers, society and neighbors are taken into account.
