DAF and REACH Communication
REACH (Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation of Chemicals) is a European regulation aimed at protecting human health and the environment from the risks posed by the use of chemicals. In order to comply with this regulation and to identify where chemicals can be avoided or replaced as far as possible, DAF—together with its suppliers—maintains a detailed list of substances that are subject to the REACH regulation. This also enables customers and users to use and recycle components as carefully and safely as possible.
The safe use of DAF products containing chemicals is described in the user manuals supplied and in the workshop manuals at our dealers. Normal use of our products does not require any special or additional measures.
Substances designated as SVHCs (Substances of Very High Concern) that may be present in DAF products are listed in the file that can be downloaded below. DAF continuously updates information on SVHCs based on the latest information from our suppliers.
