Job description

Landscape of cable harnesses
More than 1000 of variants of cable harnesses exist on our truck. To keep track on the pricing of these component, a product matrix has to be created to first inventorise the complete landscape of harnasses, classifying connectors, cables, ... and include the provided cost breakdowns. In a second step, a cross analysis of the price set-up of theses configuration has to be completed, leading to a final matrix for pricing and overview of mismatches/outliners.

Objective:

  • Analyse & evaluate exisiting harnesses cost breakdown;
  • Develop a product matrix for all configurations;
  • Set-up standard for pricing;
  • Identify mistmaches/outliners within current portfolio.

Your profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic intern with the following skill set:

  • Proactive & analytical skills;
  • English proficiency;
  • Excel (including programming) and IT knowledge.

Department

The work at the Department of Purchasing takes place in an international, challenging and inspiring environment. Within The Electric & Elctronics Purchasing group, components are sourced for the entire truck (engine, chassis and cabin). This position is focusing on cable harness components.

Correctly managing relationships with our suppliers is essential for our continuing success as a truck manufacturer. Purchasing has a strategic and crucial role in the acquisition of competitive products and services.
