Functiebeschrijving
As a thesis student, you will be responsible for developing a method to identify alternative measurements, with the help of AI/Machine learning methodes, that are easy to measure. You will be part of the Quality Control department, and your main responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing raw data from scans to identify relevant alternative measurements.
- Developing AI models to find easily in production measurable items that predict the overall quality of the product.
- Preparing measurement instructions to be used in production.
- Collaborating with various teams to ensure the implementation of the measurement instructions.
- Documenting research findings and recommendations in a report.
- Presenting findings to stakeholders within the organization.
- Advise on how to automate the process, so it can be used for other products who are scanned.
Jouw profiel
We are looking for an enthusiastic student pursuing a degree in fields such as Data Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Design. The number of internship days is negotiable.
- You are enrolled in a relevant Bachelor's or Master's program.
- You have experience or affinity with data analysis and machine learning.
- You can translate complex information into practical applications.
- Strong communication skills in English and Dutch are required.
- You have a proactive attitude and are capable of working independently.
Afdeling
The Quality Control department is part of the production organization of the Sheet Components Metal Plant (SCMP). The SCMP is a production unit focused on manufacturing sheet products and components for various industrial applications.
Utilizing advanced technologies and production techniques such as laser cutting, punching, and bending, the factory ensures that all products meet strict quality standards. The focus is on efficiency and precision, making the SCMP an essential part of the supply chain. A team of experienced professionals works closely together to provide innovative solutions and customer-oriented service, contributing to customer satisfaction and loyalty. The Quality Control department plays an essential role in ensuring product quality and improving processes. Close collaboration is maintained with various production units and technical teams. The goal of our department is to ensure that products meet quality standards. The team consists of 17 employees who are responsible for quality analyses and process improvements.
