PACCAR Internal Audit is seeking a highly motivated SOX Auditor to join our team in Eindhoven. This position involves interaction with management within the Controller’s organization, as well as regular engagement with our divisions, subsidiaries and external auditor. The SOX Auditor will be mainly responsible for (supporting) the execution of PACCAR’s Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing procedures in accordance with established audit methodologies and standards ( SOX 404 compliance). The ideal candidate will have experience in public accounting and/or internal audit in a publicly traded company, along with strong project management and interpersonal skills.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Execute SOX testing procedures, including design & operating effectiveness testing, remediation test work, and roll-forward testing, in accordance with established audit methodologies and standards (SOX 404 compliance) across designated locations, entities, and divisions under the supervision of the Senior SOX auditor and/or SOX Manager.
- Assist the Senior SOX auditor and/or SOX Manager in coordinating the SOX control testing program
- Maintain strong relationships with external auditors to assist on their queries and address their comments and build effective working relationships within the Finance department and with other stakeholders.
- Assist in tracking, monitoring and preparing overall SOX assessment status and findings for periodic reporting to DAF Senior Management and PACCAR Internal Audit.
- Collaborate with the Internal Audit group as necessary, including participating as a guest auditor or in participating as guest auditor activities.
- You will report to the SOX Manager.
Jouw profiel
- Master’s degree in accounting, finance and/or business economics.
- 5+ years of relevant experience with increasing responsibility (preferably with Big four public accounting and/or internal audit experience and SOX 404 compliance experience)
- Nature of the job requires an independent, pro-active and critical attitude with attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and strong project management skills required to enable successful and timely project completion.
- A professional certification such as CPA (Dutch RA), CA, CIA, or ACCA is a plus.
- Ability to travel occasionally (10% - 15%).

PACCAR Internal Audit is reporting directly to the PACCAR Board of Directors through the Audit Committee, and is responsible for managing Internal Audits and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 Compliance. The department consists of a team of 40 professionals, with 31 team members headquartered in Bellevue, Washington state, USA and 9 team members based in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The SOX 404 program activities will be mostly performed locally in Eindhoven at DAF, as well as at PACCAR Financial Europe Division and geographic locations, and involves to some extent continental as well as intercontinental travel opportunities.
